Hunedoara County is one with an abundance of beautiful places, but it is underexplored from a tourist point of view. A day trip with us will help you discover a small part of the impressive stories that this area of the country has to tell!
One of the reasons why the county has such a rich history is that the two capitals of Dacia were located here.
We'll visit the capital Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa, founded after the conquest of the Dacian kingdom by Emperor Trajan. We will discover there the stories of the city that stretched over an area of almost 30 thousand square meters.
From there we will depart to the city of Hațeg, where we will be welcomed by the people from the UNESCO International Geopark "Țara Hațegului"". The local guide will take us on a true "journey through time": we will learn stories about rocks that appeared 600 million years ago, about the Hațeg Island, about the formation of the Retezat Mountains, but also about the important archaeological discoveries made in the Hațeg Country. Of course, we will also get to know the Romanian dinosaur "Balaur Bondoc"!
The story will not end in Hațeg, because after the dinosaurs we will return to the world of the Dacians. This time, through a visit to the royal residence of Sarmizegetusa Regia, the capital and most important military, religious, and political center of the Dacians before the wars with the Roman Empire. The fortress, which played an important role in Decebal's defensive system, is now part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
If you choose the one-day trip among the capitals of the Dacians, don't make any other plans for that day, because we will fill it with unforgettable experiences and memories!
Departure on the day-trip is made either from Arad or from Timișoara, depending on the option you choose. Because we support alternative, quality tourism that emphasizes the experience of each individual tourist and leaves as small a footprint as possible on the places they walk through, places are limited. Our trips are done in small groups, traveling by "small car". Therefore, the maximum number of people is 3. The rates differ depending on how many people take part in the trip.
The rates are as follows:
– one person trip 190 EUR
– two persons trip 130 EUR/pers.
– three persons trip 110 EUR/pers.
The rates include
- accompanying tour guide;

- entry fees at tourist attractions;
- transportation.
The rate, however, does not include meals
We can organize trips for larger groups as well, which will make the fare per person lower.
